Compact Advocates
The Government is committed to improving the relationship with the not-for-profit sector. Commonwealth departments have appointed a Compact advocate at the Deputy Secretary level to ensure that their agency adopts the principles of the Compact and commits to implementing the Compact’s priority action areas.
Advocates will foster a culture that considers the impacts and opportunities for not-for-profit organisations when developing and implementing policies and programs and oversee any mediation processes where complaints have been made by not-for-profit organisations regarding non-compliance with the National Compact.
